Mobile Community Resource Unit

The Mobile Community Resource Unit (MCRU) features local agencies and organizations that offer services related to mental health, addictions, housing and more.

The MCRU will return for its second season in May of 2023.

The City of Quinte West is pleased to launch its third strategy from the new Community Safety & Well-being Plan – the Mobile Community Resource Unit (MCRU).

The MCRU provides free space on a rotational basis to local agencies and organizations that offer services related to mental health, addictions and housing – the priority issues outlined in the Plan.

This pilot project has received funding from the Province of Ontario and Kay Stafford Fund to operate over the next three years. Each year, the unit will be parked in different high-need areas of the municipality (determined by the number of police calls related to mental health or substance use).

Community Cupboard

A Community Cupboard at Quinte West City Hall.
