Community Cupboard
A Community Cupboard is available at Quinte West City Hall.
The cupboard is available Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby of Quinte West City Hall, located at 7 Creswell Dr., Trenton. It provides an additional food and supply source for our most vulnerable residents. It will operate under the “take what you need, leave what you can” principle.
Donations of healthy snacks, produce, and hygiene products from the community are welcome. Please place donated items directly into the cupboard. For large donations, please email marilynb@quintewest.ca and yvonnew@quintewest.ca
Mobile Community Resource Unit (MCRU)
The MCRU will return for its second season in May of 2023.
The City of Quinte West is pleased to launch its third strategy from the new Community Safety & Well-being Plan – the Mobile Community Resource Unit (MCRU).
The MCRU provides free space on a rotational basis to local agencies and organizations that offer services related to mental health, addictions and housing – the priority issues outlined in the Plan.
This pilot project has received funding from the Province of Ontario and Kay Stafford Fund to operate over the next three years. Each year, the unit will be parked in different high-need areas of the municipality (determined by the number of police calls related to mental health or substance use).
