Splash pads

The Wilf Wilkinson Rotary splash pad is located in Centennial Park at 101 Bay St., Trenton, next to the Quinte West Soccer Club Office. Free parking is available in the lots surrounding the park. Admission is free.

The splash pad is open seasonally from late May to late September from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Guardians and caregivers are responsible for their children’s safety at all times. 

Splash pad rules

  • Splash pads are not supervised. Parents or guardians are to supervise their child(ren) at all times when the children are using the splash pad.
  • Children should be appropriately attired for their age and continence ability to prevent fouling of the splash pad – swim diapers are recommended. 
  • No glass container, food or beverage is allowed on the splash pad or in the area immediately surrounding the splash pad. 
  • No pets, skateboards, in-line skates or bicycles are allowed on the splash pad or in the area immediately surrounding the splash pad.
  • Recreation water is not intended for drinking.
  • Do not use the splash pad if you have an open sore or rash or are experiencing nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
  • No person shall pollute the splash pad’s water or surface in the manner or the immediate area surrounding the splash pad.
  • No person shall engage in boisterous play or in or about the splash pad.
  • alcohol, tobacco and/or drugs are prohibited 
  • Please clear area when conditions for thunder or lightning are possible

The Frankford Splash Pad is located on River Drive (Highway 33 North) and Riverside Parkway, Frankford. Free parking is available in the parking lot of the park. Admission is free. 

The splash pad is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Guardians and caregivers are responsible for their children’s safety at all times.

The splash pads will be closed in inclement weather when there is any risk for thunder and lightning and when the temperature is 20 degrees and below.

Beach

This small sandy beach area and playground are situated on a parkland stretch along the Trent River on Tourist Park Road, Frankford. This beach is nestled in the Frankford Tourist Park + Campground.

Hastings Prince Edward Public Health monitors the recreational water quality at this beach. The sampling season starts mid-May at the end of August. Water is sampled for E.coli bacteria. Before swimming, we recommend checking to confirm that this beach is safe for swimming from its website.

Park Rules

To help ensure the safety and pleasure of all park users, the City of Quinte West requests that you abide by the following rules and regulations:

  • All posted signs must be obeyed.
  • Motorized vehicles are prohibited except for designated areas.
  • Possession or use of alcohol is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the City.
  • Vandalism to City property will not be tolerated.
  • Metal detecting not permitted.
  • Animals or pets must be controlled.
  • A poop-and-scoop policy is enforced.
  • Hitting golf balls is prohibited.
  • No littering or dumping of garbage 
  • As per Provincial Legislation, smoking is prohibited within 20 metres surrounding playground equipment and playing fields owned and operated by the City of Quinte West. 

Failure to obey these regulations can result in a maximum fine of $5,000. Please help us keep our parks safe. Report any damage or problems to 613-392-2841 or email publicworks@quintewest.ca.

Indoor pool

The YMCA of Central East Ontario is a “place for everyone” and greatly enhances the lifestyle that Quinte West residents enjoy. Our partnership with the YMCA ensures diverse recreational and aquatic programs for all ages.
