Quinte West celebrates 25 years of community: 1998-2023
2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the amalgamation of the City of Quinte West. To celebrate, the City is pleased to showcase a number of community activities and initiatives that tell the story of our growing community throughout the fall season.
Conservation areas + hiking trails
Quinte West has many outdoor spaces to enjoy, whether you want to hike, bike, or enjoy scenic lookouts. Check out these trails and conservation areas this fall:

Country markets + farm stands
As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, enjoy the bountiful offerings of these local farm stands and markets:

- Front Street Farmers’ Market (open until Oct. 7)
- Willow Creek Farms
*All farm stands close at the end of October with the exception of Grills Orchards, which is open year-round.
Hops on the Water (Oct. 14, 2023)
Hops on the Water is an all-ages, one-day, family-friendly festival featuring specialties from local craft breweries, beverage makers and food vendors from the Bay of Quinte region and surrounding area. This year’s festival line-up includes live music and entertainment featuring ‘Moon Sugar’, roaming buskers, interactive games and activities and picture-perfect moments to kick-off the fall season. The event will take place rain or shine.
Quinte West’s Hops on the Water Craft Beer Festival was crowned one of the top 100 festivals in Ontario by Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) for the first time in 2022.
Halloween Home Boo Tour (Oct. 21-31)
Quinte West residents are invited to showcase their Halloween spirit by decorating the exterior of their residence and registering to be a destination along the City’s annual self-guided Halloween Home Boo Tour this October. Break out your Halloween decor and turn your house, balcony, front porch, yard or residence into a Halloween haven. Haunted houses, fairy-tale forests, spooky lights, ghosts, goblins and graveyards are welcome!
