Be considerate of others by continually moving along the boards and keeping speed under control. Strollers are only permitted on the ice at the facility operators’ discretion. 

No food or drinks are permitted on the ice, and skates must be worn at all times. You cannot carry children while skating or pull sleighs. You cannot skate at excessive speeds or cut in and out of people while skating. Playing tag or rough play like pushing or pulling is not allowed. 

We strongly recommend that on-ice participants wear CSA-approved safety equipment (including head, eye and facial protection) during all skating programs.

Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens

Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens is the city’s largest recreation centre located at 8 Couch Cres. located within Centennial Park. The complex is a twin-pad arena and multi-purpose room, sports fields and much more and is open daily.

Be considerate of others by continually moving along the boards and keeping speed under control. Strollers are only permitted on the ice at the facility operators’ discretion.

Indoor amenities

Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens has two ice pads (190’ x 80’) with six dressing rooms with showers. Rink #1 has 948 seats, and Rink #2 has 500 seats. 

Rink #1 is home to the Trenton Golden Hawks, Quinte West Minor Hockeyand the Trenton Figure Skating Club.

The multipurpose room is located upstairs (fully accessible) at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens, with a seating capacity of 240 people. This room is the perfect room for a banquet and meeting space. 

Rentals

Both rinks and multi-purpose rooms are available for rent. From small meetings to weddings, sports tournaments and trade shows, the facility offers flexible spaces to suit many needs.

Dr. McMullen Recreation Centre

Dr. McMullen Recreation Centre is located at 35 March St. in Frankford with a single-pad arena and multi-purpose room.

The multipurpose room is located upstairs (fully accessible) at the Dr. McMullen Recreation Centre, with a seating capacity of 125 people. This room is perfect for a small banquet or meeting.

Batawa Community Centre outdoor rinks

The Batawa Lions Club maintains four outdoor rinks at the Batawa Community Centre, located at 81 Plant St., Batawa. During cold weather months, they’re open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with lighting, washrooms and a heated comfort station.
