The nomination period for the 2022 Quinte West Municipal Election opened today at 9 a.m. Potential candidates for all offices can pick up information packages in-person at Quinte West City Hall, located at 7 Creswell Dr. in Trenton and nominations must be filed by 2 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2022. Please call ahead before attending City Hall to file nomination papers to ensure the Clerk is available.

This video has more in-depth information about the responsibilities of municipal councils and the election process. Questions from potential candidates can be submitted in writing to election@quintewest.ca and the answers will be posted on the election website.
The list of unofficial candidates can be found at quintewestvotes.ca/nominations and will be updated as nominations are filed. After Aug. 19, 2022, the Clerk will provide a list of candidates who have been certified to run in the election.
