Quinte West celebrates National Engineering Month

March is National Engineering Month!

The City of Quinte West’s engineering team works to improve the safety and accessibility of City infrastructure through capital projects. Typical capital projects include all aspects of municipal infrastructure, such as the design and construction of:

  • roads
  • watermains
  • sewers
  • sidewalks
  • trails
  • boat ramps/launches
  • bridges
  • stormwater ponds

The engineering team oversees the completion of studies used to plan and design future infrastructure, such as:

  • environmental assessments
  • geotechnical and soil studies
  • traffic studies
  • structural bridge inspections

This team also reviews developer submissions for new site plans, subdivisions and commercial/industrial developments and inspects and oversees all new construction on City roads and City-owned land.

From designing and building safe structures to protecting the environment to planning for the City’s future needs, our engineers are key in building a strong community.
