When victors write the history of the defeated, accuracy is not their intent. Not content with just disparaging King Richard III, his detractors buried him without a marker. Philippa Langley (Sally Hawkins), a writer disoriented after divorce, comes upon the Richard III Society and flings herself into the search for his long-lost grave. Her journey parallels King Richard’s fate as experts and bureaucrats cast doubt on this enthusiastic amateur.
