Nerdtastic Total Solar Eclipse Viewing with Scalliwag Toys

Are you excited for the astronomical wonder that is a total solar eclipse? Curious about the astronomy and science behind the event? Looking for a safe and fun way for you and your kids to experience the eclipse?

Join us from 2pm-4pm on Monday, April 8th at Scalliwag Toys in Downtown Belleville! We’ll talk about the science and history of eclipses, debunk myths and conspiracy theories, all while heading outside to find a great (and safe) spot to view the eclipse. Each participant will get a set of ISO certified eclipse glasses to use during the event and keep as a souvenir or for their next viewing opportunity.

The totality will last for roughly two minutes from 3:21-3:23pm, but the full process of the eclipse will last from 2:08pm-4:33pm, so we will have lots of time to watch this marvel unfold.

If weather makes the viewing less than optimal, we will still host everyone in the store and nerd out about eclipse lore, and head outside for the totality since we will still see a noticeable difference in the sky even if it’s cloudy or rainy. As such, the tickets for this event are NON REFUNDABLE.

Please arrive promptly at Scalliwag Toys (302 Front St, Belleville) to ensure you can join the group as we exit the store to head to our viewing location outside.
