The City of Quinte West is accepting applications until March 25 from vendors interested in joining the 2024 Quinte West Pop-ups program.
Local home-based businesses, merchants, artisans, home cooks, and food vendors are invited to apply to be a part of the 2024 Pop-ups season in Centennial Park. Businesses can register to become a vendor for the full 14 weeks or choose to be a ‘mini Pop-ups’ vendor for a shorter two-week rotation.
The Pop-ups in Centennial Park features eight wooden vendor sheds and five cement pads equipped with hydro and water connections for food trucks and mobile vendors, all with beautiful waterfront views along one of the City’s busiest walking paths.
This summer, the Pop-ups will open to the public on Friday, May 31, and operate every Friday to Sunday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. until June 26. Beginning June 27, the Pop-ups will be open Thursday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. until the season closes on Sept. 2. Additionally, the Pop-ups will be open on holiday Mondays throughout the summer and will be programmed with family-friendly activities.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the community back to the Pop-ups beginning May 31,” says Shannon Millar, Tourism Coordinator with the City of Quinte West. “Small businesses interested in taking the next step in growing their sales or testing the Quinte West market are encouraged to apply to the Pop-ups before March 25.”
Summer 2024 marks the fourth season of the Pop-ups, offering new and emerging businesses the opportunity to reach new audiences, grow their sales, and expand their business. The Quinte West Pop-ups program has a proven track record for helping businesses develop relationships and market their business in the community. The Mini-Pop-ups is a two-week venture that allows entrepreneurs to showcase their products at the Pop-ups for a shorter period of time. This is a great incentive for locals to frequent the Pop-ups throughout the summer and continue to check back to see what is new and exciting!
The Pop-ups complement the many seasonal activities in Centennial Park and are regularly visited by both residents and visitors who come to the park for sports tournaments and community events. This summer, the Pop-ups will also feature weekly family-friendly activities in addition to unique shopping opportunities and delicious food options.
