Presentations and delegations

1:03:48 – Jessie Kuipers, Pregnancy and Family Care of Quinte West, shared updates on the new location for the organization and requested consideration of waiving of development fees.

1:23:47 – Kelly Nolan and Linda Seeley, St. Leonard’s Community Support, Prevention and Residential Services, requested consideration to provide reimbursement for City Rezoning Fees.

Committee reports, staff reports and approval of accounts

1:26:12 – Council approved a staff report and by-law regarding ONE Joint Investment Board.

1:29:45 – Council approved a staff report regarding the disclosure of 2023 public sector employee salaries and benefits.

1:31:33 – Council approved a staff report regarding the 2023 payments to municipal elected officials and appointed members.

1:32:13 – Council approved three staff reports regarding the 2023 Fourth Quarter Financial Updates for Capital, City Operating, and Water and Sewer Operating.

1:36:55 – Council approved a staff report for a request from the Quinte Young Professionals regarding beach volleyball courts.

1:43:51 – Council approved a staff report regarding the land sale for vacant land in the Frankford Industrial Park.

Correspondence for Council decision

1:44:38 – Council approved a request from Lower Trent Conservation to support the appointment of Matthew Richmond as municipal representative to the Lower Trent Municipal Group for the Trent Conservation Coalition Source Protection Committee.

Proclamations

1:45:58 – Council approved a request from Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada to proclaim September 2024 as “Prostate Cancer Awareness Month”.

Notices of motion

1:46:45 – Council voted in favour of a notice of motion submitted by Councillor Stedall for the City of Quinte West to call on the Federal Government to re-evaluate the housing and infrastructure funding allocations for municipalities with a population less than 50,000 in rural Ontario. The City will also call on the Province of Ontario to invest more than the currently allocated $200M into their Housing Enabling Water Systems Fund.
