Presentations and delegations

14:52 – Sean-Michael Stephen with Watson & Associates Economists Ltd, presented a  Development Charges Background Study for Council consideration.

1:02:08 – Teena Macklin, Resident, presented a petition regarding concerns with the operations of short term rentals.

1:40:43 – Betty Clost and Reverend Isaac Mundy with the Quinte West Warming Centre at Trenton United Church, expressed appreciation, spoke to the added services at the Centre, as well as an update on the upcoming 2024-2025 Quinte West Warming Centre season.

1:57:42 – Lorraine O’Quinn, Advocate, presented information regarding the need for community support for Diabetics.

Committee reports, staff reports and approval of accounts

2:17:47 – Council approved a staff report regarding doctor and nurse practitioner incentives.

2:30:24 – Council approved a staff report regarding OPP contract enhancements.

2:33:41 – Council approved a staff report regarding various requirements for the implementation of Quinte West O.P.P. Detachment Board (formerly Quinte West Police Service Board).

2:34:57 – Council approved a staff report regarding an easement request on Loyalist Parkway.

2:35:55 – Council approved a request for a Special Occasion Permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for the Festival on the Bay Front Street Dance in downtown Trenton.

2:37:10 – Council approved a staff report regarding an update of the Customer Service Trial and City Hall Renovations.

2:49:10 – Council approved a staff report outlining debt projections over the next two decades.

2:56:44 – Council received a staff report regarding a Development Charge status update.

3:02:56 – Council approved a staff report regarding an updated list of surface treated roads.

3:09:31 – Council approved a staff report regarding upsizing of the Old Wooler Road sanitary sewer.

Correspondence for decision 

3:12:30 – Council reviewed and approved correspondence from the Quinte West Gardens Growing Community regarding a letter requesting City signage.

Proclamations

3:13:41 – Council proclaimed August 12-16, 2024 as “Empower Health, Embrace Hope, Diabetic Awareness Week”.
