Quinte West Council agenda highlights for March 20, 2024

The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in person at Quinte West City Hall and virtually at quintewest.site/LiveCouncil.

Presentations and delegations

  • Mayor Harrison and Council will recognize Matt LeBlanc, Quinte West athlete, 2024 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games (5 Pin Bowling).
  • Don and Peggy Paul will present a petition regarding “North End Hill Road, Trenton”.
  • Mr. Gregg Cooke, Stantec Consulting Ltd. will speak to the Highway 401 Planning Study in Quinte West.
  • Bev Woods, Gift from the Heart (GFTH), will provide an update regarding GFTH Outreach Dental Clinics.

Committee reports, staff reports and approval of accounts

  • Council will review a staff report regarding the Cascades facility in Trenton.
  • Council will review a staff report regarding temporary patio registrations.
  • Council will review a staff report regarding a policy for developing and implementing city policies.
  • Council will review a staff report regarding an update for an Animal Control RFP.
  • Council will review a staff report regarding various housing initiatives, including and developing a Housing Working Group.

Proclamations

  • Council will review a request from Autism Ontario to proclaim April 2, 2024 as World Autism Awareness Day.
  • Council will review a request from the Transplant Advocate Association to proclaim the month of April, 2024 as Be A Donor Month and that April 7th, 2024 be proclaimed as Green Shirt Day.

Notices of motion

  • Councillor Stedall submitted a notice of motion regarding Flexible Work Arrangement Policy to be received at the Council Meeting on April 3, 2024.
