Quinte West Council agenda highlights for June 19, 2024

The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19 2024 in person at Quinte West City Hall and virtually at quintewest.site/LiveCouncil.

Presentations and delegations

  • June Kellar and Gary Forbes will speak to a petition and city by-laws about residing within trailers. 

Committee reports, staff reports and approval of accounts

  • Council will review a staff report regarding a technology update.
  • Council will review a staff report presenting the non-core asset management plans regarding facilities, fleet services and outdoor parks and recreation as legislated by O. Reg 588/17.
  • Council will review a staff report regarding a blower replacement for the Trenton Wastewater Treatment Plant. 

Proclamations

  • Council will review a request from Josh Machesney, City Clerk, on behalf of the EDI Committee to proclaim the month of June, 2024 as “National Indigenous History Month”.
  • Council will review a request from the Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario to proclaim June 19, 2024 as “World Sickle Cell Awareness Day”.
  • Council will review a request from Josh Machesney, City Clerk, on behalf of the EDI Committee to proclaim June 21, 2024 as “National Indigenous Peoples Day”.
  • Council will review a request from Josh Machesney, City Clerk, on behalf of the EDI Committee to proclaim June 27, 2024 as “Multiculturalism Day”.
