Quinte West Council agenda highlights for December 13, 2023

The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13 in person at Quinte West City Hall and virtually at quintewest.site/LiveCouncil.

Presentations and delegations

  • Mayor Harrison and Council will present the Long Service Awards to Quinte West City Staff.
  • Chris Palmer representing the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward, and Kevin Windsor and Laura Imrie of the National Air Force Museum of Canada will present a statement of support for the “Arrow Trail” initiative.

Committee reports, staff reports and approval of accounts

  • Council will review a staff report regarding various matters of approval for the Audit and Risk Advisory Committee.

Correspondence for decision

  • Correspondence from Lower Trent Conservation, requesting a Municipal Representative for the Source Protection Committee.
  • Correspondence from the Quinte West Youth Centre, inviting a Member of Council from the City of Quinte West to join the Board of Directors for the Committee for Innovative Thinking for Youth (CITY).

Proclamations

  • Council will review a request from The Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward to proclaim January, 2024 as National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
  • Council will review a request from Josh Machesney, City Clerk, on behalf of the Quinte West Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, requesting Council proclaim June 2024 as Recreation & Parks Month.
