A planned power outage is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the east end of Quinte West. The outage will allow Hydro One to complete necessary upgrades in the area.
Power will be out in approximately the following area:
- RCAF Road east to Wallbridge-Loyalist/Avondale Road
- Hamilton Road south to Old Highway 2

Hydro One encourages customers to turn off all appliances and ensure cell phones are fully charged before the outage. Residents should also keep their refrigerator and freezer doors closed for as long as possible to avoid spoilage.
As part of this outage, traffic signals may be unavailable in the affected area. If a traffic signal is without power, use the intersection the same way you would use an intersection with all-way stop signs.
Aikins Road between approximately 400-496 Aikins Rd. will also be closed to through traffic on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, from 5:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to allow Hydro One crews to complete the necessary upgrades.
