Boil Water Advisory lifted for Trenton Water Service Area

The Boil Water Advisory issued by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health on July 18 for all Trenton Water Service customers west of the Trent River has been lifted.

Test results collected over the last 48 hours confirm that the City water supply meets or exceeds the Provincial Water Quality Standards.

All affected Trenton Water Service customers west of the Trent River in Trenton, Murray Ward customers, and customers in Carrying Place, Prince Edward Estates, Kingfisher Cove and the Carrying Place/Consecon Water Distribution System in Prince Edward County may resume normal use of the drinking water supply.

Bulk water filling services have returned to normal at all Quinte West bulk water stations. The City of Quinte West has ended its water conservation notice for residents in the affected areas. The City’s splash pad in Trenton will resume normal operating hours as of 9 a.m. Friday, July 21.

Public access to washrooms, showers and refilling stations at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens remains open until Monday, July 24.

The Boil Water Advisory went into effect on Tuesday, July 18, at 5:00 a.m. in response to emergency water main repair work. Temporary repair work continues on the water main. Visit quintewest.ca for project updates.
