World Art Day activities

World Art Day, April 15, is an international celebration of fine arts, and what better way to celebrate than with our talented artist community right here at home?

We have two activities taking place for Quinte West artists to share their creativity with the community. Keep reading for more information.

Second annual virtual art contest

Calling all artists! Quinte West’s virtual art contest is back. Show us what inspires you and share your creations with the community. You could win one of nine prizes!

Send us a picture of your best, original artwork in one of three categories:

  1. Two-dimensional art, including painting, drawing, illustration and more.
  2. Three-dimensional art, including sculpture, woodworking and other creations.
  3. Youth 16 and under.

Starting April 14, we invite Quinte West residents to submit a photo of their original art pieces at the link below. The contest runs until May 6, and submissions will be judged virtually by six local artists. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 24.

Tiny art show
