The Front Street Farmers’ Market is beautifully nestled along the Trent Severn Waterway at 67 Front St., in downtown Trenton. Visitors can find a wide variety of artisanal and produce vendors with products ranging from fruits, veggies, crafts to baked goods and more. 
Market hours are 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. every Saturday from Victoria Day weekend to Thanksgiving weekend.

The Pop-ups are a staple in the Quinte West community and are enjoyed by both residents and visitors. Located in Centennial Park, enjoy the waterfront trails while supporting local businesses at the Pop-ups

In celebration of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) 100th anniversary on April 1, 2024, 48 commemorative banners have been hung on street poles throughout Quinte West as part of the 413 (Air Force City) Wing Air Force Association of Canada’s 100 Banners for 100 Years project.

Quinte West Council has approved that the honour of the ‘Freedom of the City’ be bestowed on the members and personnel of RCAF Trenton and their veterans, to mark the 100th anniversary. This honour will be presented as part of the RCAF Celebration, Parade and Flag Raising Ceremony, a community event, to be held in Trenton on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

The City of Quinte West has partnered with the National Air Force Museum of Canada (NAFMC) to exhibit “Your Air Force at Trenton”, an outdoor public art display marking the celebration of 100 years of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and the history of 8 Wing/Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton.

“Your Air Force at Trenton” celebrates the history of 8 Wing/CFB Trenton, formerly known as the RCAF Station Trenton and engages visitors in a journey through the Base’s development with photos and stories. The exhibit displays 16 photos of historical images, artifacts and perspectives offering insight into the Base’s influence and impact on the community over the years. 

The “Your Air Force at Trenton” exhibit is the next installation in the City’s ‘Art on the Trent’ outdoor public art program, with art on display in RiverFront Square, Centennial Park and Frankford Tourist Park.

2024 Is the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). To celebrate 100 years the RCAF, 8 Wing/CFB Trenton will host the Quinte International Air Show on June 29 and 30, 2024. For more information, click here.

The City of Quinte West’s Hops on the Water Craft Beer Festival has been named one of the Top 100 festivals in Ontario by the Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) association for the second year in a row.

The City of Quinte West is proud to host the 2024 Toyota National Championships U-15 Cup, part of the largest amateur team sport competition in Canada. 

The Toyota National Championships in Quinte West will welcome national under-15 youth male and female teams from each of Canada’s provincial and territorial soccer associations including 24 teams, 480 athletes, 72 coaches, 20 officials, many athlete families, friends, local residents and visitors.

Crazy Creek Fishing Preserve

Although the preserve is closed to fishing, you can still meet Crazy Larry and feed the fish. With 17 ponds set amidst a cedar forest, Crazy Creek is home to a plentiful number of speckled and rainbow trout. Instead of fishing, residents are invited to go for a tour in the woods to feed the fish. By appointment only.

Motorized trails

The Hastings Heritage Trail is a four-season, multi-use recreational trail that follows an old railway line running through Hastings County. The trail is open year-round and boasts a number of parking lots and access points along the route. The southern end of the trail is located in Glen Ross. A trail pass is required.
