Special Screening: “A Hope in Hell” movie
May 2 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
It is now 13 years since an earthquake devastated Haiti. What has changed? Haitians continue to be crushed by poverty, disease, violence, corruption, and natural disasters accentuated by environmental degradation. Is Haiti a lost cause? For Vision Citadelle-a small Canadian-Haitian NGO-the answer is an emphatic “no”. The steps they are taking may be small but they are progressive, sustainable, and most importantly “Haitian” in origin.
This film offers a rare glimpse of hope in a perpetually hopeless land. There will also be an update on the current desperate crisis in this troubled land.
Eastminster United Church on May 2 from 7pm-9pm
