Pysanky Workshop
May 18 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
$50We invite you to join us for a day of Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs) with Instructor Susan O’Leary. As a Canadian of Ukrainian descent, Susan has a passion for the artistry and history of Pysanky and has enjoyed this tradition for many years.
This day will be a fundraiser for the Ukrainian Relief Fund. The Anglican Church of Canada, through the PWRDF (Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund) has partnered with the Hungarian Interchurch Aid (HIA). HIA is providing food, blankets, and basic hygiene products for Ukrainian Refugees at the Hungarian Border. Susan is generously donating her time and products to make this fundraiser possible.
The event is held from 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30) until 3pm, the 18th of May.
A Ukrainian themed lunch is included in this artistic fundraising day.
Please contact Elfrieda Snow at elfriedahelena@gmail.com to reserve your space.
We are suggesting a minimum $50 donation for this fundraiser. Instruction, materials and lunch are all included and you will go home with your hand-painted egg. To make a donation you can write a cheque to PWRDF Ukrainian Relief Fund and bring it to the workshop. For those wishing to pay electronically, you can go to the Website: click here and make your donation directly to PWRDF. Tax Receipts will be issued for all donations.
This is your opportunity to help Ukrainian refugees while learning to paint Ukrainian Easter Eggs and enjoy a day of artistry and friendship.
