Industrial Lands Community Improvement Plan

The City of Quinte West is looking to attract new businesses to the area by implementing its new Industrial Land Community Improvement Plan (CIP). The first of its kind in Eastern Ontario is financial incentive programs to encourage industrial development.

The Community Improvement Plan (CIP) provides a framework for creating and implementing programs to revitalize downtown Trenton and Frankford and in industrial areas.

Business retention + expansion project

The City of Quinte West initiated a business retention and expansion (BR+E) project for its retail, commercial and technology sectors to foster local businesses’ stability.

Other funding programs, incentives and resources

There are a number of federal and provincial government grants, loans and credits, and private investment opportunities to assist businesses to start and expand their business to stay competitive in the marketplace.

Trenval Business Development Corporation is a federally supported, not-for-profit Community Futures Development Corporation committed to developing and diversifying the local economy through community strategic planning, business information, counselling and investment in small businesses.
