Parks Canada advises of the temporary closure of the Carrying Place Bridge from the evening of June 20 to the morning of June 23, 2023, between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day to facilitate maintenance work on the bridge.
The Carrying Place Swing Bridge connects County Road 33 (Loyalist Parkway) across the Murray Canal, just north of Carrying Place.
Traffic will be closed in both directions for the duration of the repair. An alternate crossing is available via the Brighton Road Swing Bridge on County Road 64, about five kilometres to the west.
Boat navigation will not be impacted by this closure.
Please exercise caution, respect work crews and equipment, and obey signage in the area.
