Quinte West’s Hops on the Water festival wins 2023 FEO Top 100 Award

The City of Quinte West’s Hops on the Water festival has been named one of the Top 100 festivals in Ontario by the Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) association.

The FEO Top 100 Awards program recognizes festivals and events for their excellence in creativity, community engagement and overall event experience. Hops on the Water is proud to have been selected by a panel of independent judges, and to be acknowledged among some of the province’s most widely recognized festivals

“Quinte West is proud to have our Hops on the Water festival recognized among the impressive list of the top 100 festivals and events in Ontario,” said Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison. “This award highlights the City’s commitment to delivering the best community events for residents and visitors to enjoy year-round.”

Hops on the Water is an annual, one-day, family-friendly festival that takes place in downtown Trenton in Quinte West each fall. Highlighting local Bay of Quinte area breweries, food vendors, live music and entertainment, Hops on the Water is a popular fall harvest celebration that attracts local residents and tourists alike.

“Community events are important community engagement, tourism and economic development initiatives in Quinte West,” said Jaclyn Grimmon, director of community services and strategic partnerships. “The City is pleased to deliver and host more than 80 community events and initiatives each year. This award for Hops on the Water is a testament to the high-quality experiences available to residents and visitors in Quinte West.”

Hops on the Water received the 2023 Top 100 Award on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, during FEO’s “Celebrate” Conference Awards Gala in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This is the first time Quinte West’s Hops on the Water festival has been named as a Top 100 Award winner.
