The City of Quinte West is looking for input from the public on possible changes to street parking on Henry Street in Trenton. The City is asking residents to rank their parking preferences at quintewest.site/henryst.
The options are:
- Parking is prohibited on the North side of the street.
- Alternating parking prohibitions on the North and South sides
- No change to parking restrictions
This survey was developed as a result of complaints received that the volume of parking on the street reduces it to one-way traffic and makes it difficult for residents to get in and out of their driveways. After observations, City staff also have concerns about access for emergency vehicles and the impact the parking is having on road conditions.
