In response to the extreme heat, the cooling centre is open today and tomorrow at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena.

The City of Quinte West activates a cooling centre at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena in Trenton when there are two consecutive days of temperatures of 31 degrees or higher or humidex values of 35 degrees Celsius or higher.
Splash pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in both Trenton and Frankford.
