8:11 – A delegation from the Quinte Labour Council requesting support for stable funding for Post-Secondary Education.

Committee Reports, Staff Reports and Approval of Accounts

23:08 – Quinte West Fire/Rescue Chief John Whelan presented a video to Council for a newly acquired fire vehicle (Pierce FXP Pumper).

32:32 – Council acknowledged and celebrated the 2021 Blue Flag designation for the Trent Port Marina.

33:45 – Council approved the donation of two benches to the upcoming Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation Fundraiser.

35:16 – Quinte West Council approved the framework for the new Detachment Board for the Quinte West O.P.P., with the motion being amended to reflect board membership consisting of seven members.

41:54 – Council approved a by-law regarding the amendment of the Committee Appointment by-law to reflect a change to the composition of the Quinte Economic Development Commission and the Agricultural Advisory Committee.

46:16 – Council approved a by-law regarding the execution of a Lease Agreement between the City and Hydro One Networks Inc. for property municipally known as 18 Pelham St, as the original lease with option to renew has been exhausted, conditional on Hydro One. agreeing with liability insurance being raised from $2,000,000 to $5,000,000.

55:34 – Council approved the submission of a staff report to Health Canada, under their current public consultation on Cannabis Production legislation.

1:10:11 – Council provided direction to staff regarding the request to endorse an MZO application which affects lands regulated under Section 28 of the Conservation Authorities Act to:

– Notify the Conservation Authority of the request
– Provide a copy of the request to the Conservation Authority
– Request the Authority to delineate the extent of any regulated area on the site and identify potential risks

1:22:40 – Council approved by-laws regarding the lease agreement between Hydro One and the City of Quinte West, committee appointments, tax ratios for prescribed property classes, tax rate levies, DBIA property rates, consent agreements, rezoning properties and above and road services.
