Quinte West Council agenda highlights for May 31, 2023

The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 in person at Quinte West City Hall and virtually at quintewest.site/LiveCouncil.

Presentations and Delegations

  • Brian Jardine, Director of Planning and Development Services, and Jaclyn Grimmon, Director of Community Services and Strategic Partnerships, will provide a presentation regarding the “Housing Accelerator Fund – Action Plan.”
  • Deanna Way, Executive Director, Quinte Museum of Natural History, Suzanne Andrews, Board Chair of Quinte Museum of Natural History, and Peter May, Board Member of Quinte Museum of Natural History, will provide an operational update and overview for 2023 and beyond.
  • Jessica Coolen, Executive Director, Quinte West Youth Centre, will provide 2022 updates.
  • Bengt Gunnarsson, Director Senior Advisor, Bata Group, and Ruth Ferguson Aulthouse, Consultant, RFA Planning, will speak to a proposed development in Batawa.

Committee reports, staff reports and approval of accounts

  • Council will review a staff report regarding the Housing Accelerator Fund – Action Plan.
  • Council will review a staff report regarding the Quinte West Pop-ups in Centennial Park from May 31 – Sept. 3, 2023.
  • Council will review a staff report regarding “Fire Department Establishing and Regulating By-law.”
  • Council will review a staff report regarding “AGCO Resolution for Licensed Event – Lottie Jones.”

Notice of Motion

  • Council will review a notice of motion regarding renovictions.
