Walk the Waterfront
A great place to stay cool is along the water! Quinte West has beautiful trails to check out along the Bay of Quinte and Trent-Severn Waterway. Visit Centennial Park, Bain Park, Frankford Tourist Park or Trent Port Marina and explore why Quinte West is a “Natural Attraction.”
Cooling Centre
The City of Quinte West activates a cooling centre at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena in Trenton when there are two consecutive days of temperatures of 31 degrees or higher OR humidex values of 35 degrees Celsius or higher. The centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors are required to wear masks and maintain appropriate physical distances while using the cooling centre. Visit quintewest.ca or check Quinte West’s social media channels to see if the centre has been activated.
