Doors Open Quinte West returns in person Saturday, Sept. 10

The 11th annual Doors Open event in Quinte West returns in person this year on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Doors Open offers free access for the public to explore, discover and learn more about the history of local organizations, businesses and attractions throughout Quinte West.

“We are thrilled to have Doors Open Quinte West back with many great participating locations this year,” says Linda Lisle, Manager of Economic Development & Tourism Services with the City of Quinte West. “It’s an excellent opportunity for residents and visitors to explore our community and get a behind-the-scenes look at unique local organizations and businesses, many of which are not generally open to the public.”

This year’s event features 14 locations throughout Quinte West. Familiar favourites are back, such as Research Casting International and the National Airforce Museum of Canada. New additions include the Quinte Museum of Natural History, Miron Valley Stable and Riding School and Crazy Creek Fishing Preserve. Residents and visitors have the opportunity to tour, explore and learn about the locations of interest, all with their own unique history and operations in the area. Discover hidden gems and get a behind-the-scenes look at this year’s locations.
