The City of Quinte West has released the official results of the municipal election held on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022. Quinte West voters have elected a mayor, 12 councillors and nine school board trustees. For the complete list of Quinte West’s electoral results, click here.
The 2022 municipal election in Quinte West marked the City’s implementation of a completely online voting process. This modern, safe and convenient online voting system met all legislative requirements and engaged 10,587 voters in this year’s election over 14 voting days.
The number of total voters in 2022 increased slightly, by 1% over the total 2018 turnout. This increase to 10,587 total voters maintains Quinte West’s overall voter engagement levels through the transition to the online voting process.
Quinte West’s new term of council will officially take office in the Inaugural Meeting of Council, at 5:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, and will sit for the term through Nov. 14, 2026.
The first meeting of the new term of City Council will be held on Monday, Dec. 19 2022, at Quinte West City Hall Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend all council meetings.
