Celebrate the City’s 25th anniversary by exploring some of Quinte West’s most interesting buildings and destinations during Doors Open Quinte West. The 12th annual Doors Open Quinte West event will take place on Saturday, Sept.16, featuring 13 exciting locations open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Doors Open is an annual event that offers a unique opportunity to take a look behind-the-scenes at facilities that are not usually open to the public. This year’s event showcases a number of City facilities as part of Quinte West’s 25th anniversary. Among the highlights of this year’s event is the Quinte West Operations Centre, home to the City’s fleet of vehicles, heavy equipment and works yard, and the Trenton Wastewater Treatment Plant where visitors can learn about what happens with waste that goes down the drain.
“We are thrilled to welcome the community to Doors Open Quinte West celebrating the City’s 25th anniversary this year,” said Colleen Vickers, Special Events Coordinator. “Quinte West is pleased to showcase some of the many wonderful spaces and places our City has to offer including a number of popular city-owned facilities.”
This day-long event features a range of popular indoor and outdoor locations that appeal to all ages. Everyone is invited to come out and discover or revisit some of Quinte West’s hidden treasures.
